What a lovely week we have had in Pandas exploring our families, homes and gardens! The children have really enjoyed talking about the special people in their lives and sharing their own experiences with their friends and nursery adults.
We got creative making our own faces, using colourful wool for hair and googly eyes to bring our creations to life. The children had lots of fun choosing their own colours and experimenting with the different materials, while developing their creativity and fine motor skills.
In our tuff tray, we explored the garden and discovered some of the tiny bugs we might find living outside our homes. Using magnifying glasses, the children carefully investigated the mini bugs, looking closely at their different colours, shapes and features.
A huge thank you to all of our parents who sent in photographs of your families and homes. The children absolutely loved looking at them, recognising the special people in their lives and telling us all about their families. We then had lots of fun cutting the photographs up and working together to match the pieces back together again.
At our playdough station, the children used different transport cutters to show us how they travel to nursery. This encouraged lots of lovely conversations about whether we travel by car, train or bus and helped to develop the children’s language and understanding of the different ways we can travel.
It has been a wonderful week celebrating the people, homes and experiences that are special to each of our Pandas.
Next week, our learning adventure will be all about our health and keeping fit. We will be exploring some of the different things we can do to help keep our bodies happy and healthy.
