What a wonderful week it has been welcoming all of our old and new Pandas back to nursery.
We have loved hearing about everyone’s summer adventures and showing the children the improvements we have made to the Panda Room. It has been lovely to see familiar faces reunited and to watch our new Pandas begin exploring their new surroundings.
As we settle back into our nursery routines, we have been following the children’s interests and providing lots of opportunities to build their confidence, independence and sense of belonging. This has been especially important in helping our new Pandas feel safe, happy and comfortable in their new room.
Our creative activities have been full of colour and exploration this week. The children enjoyed experimenting with paint and tin foil, discovering a variety of colours while also exploring the different sounds and textures the foil made as they moved their paintbrushes across it.
We have also been developing important fine motor and coordination skills through cutting activities. The children used colourful scissors to snip and create lots of wonderful abstract shapes.
Our Pandas have also been busy creating their very own Cromer logo collage, carefully gluing colourful pieces of tissue paper onto the design. It has been fantastic to see the children making choices, exploring different colours and textures and proudly contributing to a piece of artwork that represents our nursery.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone become fully settled and to getting to know each and every one of our Pandas even more. We cannot wait to discover their unique personalities, interests and little quirks and to watch their confidence grow throughout the year.
