We have had another lovely week in Panda Cubs, with lots of opportunities for the children to explore both indoors and outdoors.
The children have really enjoyed spending time outside, taking in the sights and sounds around them. We have spent time watching the birds as they flew past and listening carefully to the different sounds they could hear. These simple outdoor experiences are a lovely way to encourage curiosity, awareness of the world around us and early listening skills.
Our new soft play area has also been very popular. The children have enjoyed climbing, exploring the different levels, going down the slide and discovering their reflections in the mirror. This has given them lots of opportunities to build their confidence, develop their physical skills and explore movement in a safe and supported way.
For our creative activity, the children used their fingers to move paint around inside sandwich bags to create their own houses. This was a lovely sensory experience and allowed the children to explore colour, texture and movement without the mess of direct paint play. It was wonderful to see them using their hands in different ways and watching how the paint moved and mixed.
It has been another busy and enjoyable week in Panda Cubs, full of exploration, discovery and lots of lovely learning through play.
