This week our Teddies have really enjoyed exploring our All About Me Learning Adventure.
The children have loved telling us about their favourite things to do and sharing more about themselves with their friends and the Teddies team.
After reading The Colour Monster, the children created their own monsters using a range of different shapes. We encouraged them to draw, paint and design their monsters in their own way, giving them lots of opportunities to be creative and express their own ideas.
Outside in the garden, the children used large paint rollers to explore their favourite colours, creating lots of wonderful patterns and marks.
We have also been developing our colour recognition and sorting skills. The children matched coloured objects to the correct coloured bowls, talking about the different colours as they played.
Our mirrors have been very popular too! The children carefully looked at their own faces before creating self-portraits. They also used playdough and face templates to make their own faces, thinking about where our eyes, nose and mouth belong.
We were also lucky to have Rachel join us for a lovely singing session. The children really enjoyed joining in with the songs, actions and music, and it was lovely to see them singing together with such enthusiasm.
It has been another lovely week in Teddies. The children are becoming more confident with their new routines and are really enjoying exploring all of the activities and opportunities available to them.
We are so proud of how well everyone is settling in and look forward to continuing our Learning Adventures together.
