How do I book a place for my child?

There are a few ways to secure a place for your child. You can contact our management team by phone or email to arrange a tour of the setting. Alternatively, you can request a place using our online booking form. Once your place is confirmed, you’ll need to complete an application form.
Can my child visit the setting prior to starting?

Yes! To help your child settle in, we recommend at least two settling-in visits. These visits allow them to explore their new environment, meet the staff, and get to know the other children. Where possible, we suggest spreading these visits over two weeks, with the option to extend if needed.
What should we bring?
Please bring a named bag (not too large) containing:

A change of clothes, including underwear if your child is toilet training.

A packed lunch with their name clearly labeled to help staff identify it easily.

Nappies, pull-ups, and wipes if your child is not yet toilet trained.
What are your opening times, and when are you closed?
Are all staff DBS (CRB/police) checked?
Do all staff hold relevant childcare qualifications?
What are the staff-to-child ratios at Cromer Childcare?
1:3 for children under 2 years

1:5 for children aged 2–3 years

1:8 for children over 3 years
Are your staff First Aid trained?
What times are lunch and snack times?
Morning snack: 10:00 am

Lunch: 11:30 am

Afternoon snack: 1:30 pm

Evening snack: 4:15 pm
How will my child’s progress be tracked throughout the setting?

How often does Cromer Childcare hold parents' evenings?

We hold two parents’ evenings each year—one in the Autumn term and one in the Spring term. However, if you’d like to discuss your child’s progress at any time, please feel free to contact the setting, and we’ll be happy to arrange an appointment with your child’s Key Person.
My child has special educational needs and/or a disability (SEND), can they still attend Cromer Childcare?
How secure is the nursery?
How often will my child go outside to play?
How can I pay my childcare fees?
Do you accept childcare vouchers?
Do you offer funded places?
Is there any family discount available if you have more than one child attending the nursery?
How is my invoice calculated?
Do I have to pay for session consumables?

Consumable charges are entirely optional.

If you would like your child to be provided with a healthy snack or hot lunch by our onsite chef during their session, the consumable charge would apply.

The optional consumable charges help cover the cost of snacks, materials, and resources used during your child’s time with us.
