Daily Routine

When your child first attends the setting, parents are welcome to stay until both are happy about the separation. However, children normally settle better if the parent hands over the child to the setting Assistant.

Please be reassured that parents will be informed at the end of the session by the setting Assistant or the Key Person about how their child has been during the session.

It may take a little time for your child to settle in, make new friends and take part in the daily activities. However, we do assure you that your child’s well-being is of paramount importance to us at all times.

Milk and a snack are given to your child mid-morning and mid-afternoon. If your child does not drink milk then a glass of water will be given as an alternative. We do not allow juice or sweets at this time.

We respectfully ask that you do not bring your child to the setting if he/she is suffering from a contagious illness or has had sickness or diarrhoea and has not been clear of symptoms for 48 hours.

After schoOl Club

At Cromer Childcare we offer a Breakfast and After-School Club. This service is extremely popular, so please call the setting for details.

Holiday Club

During the Autumn half-term, Spring half-term, Easter, Summer half-term and the Summer holidays we offer a holiday club for ages 2-11 years. We endeavour to offer a wide selection of fun activities for all ages. Discounts offered for full week.

Your Career Starts Here

Do you dream about working in childcare? Want to join our team? When we have vacancies, we normally advertise them on our Facebook page. Keep an eye on it and good luck!

Parental Involvement

Our aim is to support and enhance the development of the children and to respect, understand and value the contribution that you as parents make towards your child’s learning.

Parents will have access to information regarding the curriculum activities and events through weekly emails, written information placed on the parents’ notice board, and a termly newsletter.

Parent Consultation weeks will be held in the Autumn and Spring giving parents an opportunity to have an informal chat with their child’s Key Person. However, appointments can be made with Key Person, Mrs Anderson or Miss Henderson at any time. Parents are also welcome to come in and help during a Pre-School session by arrangement.

Development records

Upon entry into the setting, your child will be given a Key Person. This is a member of staff who will liaise with parents and complete reports on your child and monitor his/her progress throughout their time with us.

Parents can discuss their child’s progress at any time with their child’s Key Person.

Working parents can make an appointment, at a time suitable for them during Pre-School hours.

We also provide “I Can Do” sheets and Home / setting contact book which will help parents contribute to their child’s progress record. This information is used together with our more formal observations to obtain a holistic view of what their child can do.

A written report will be given to parents at the end of the year.
